Pure Rubens
Commisioned by Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
Made in a design team at thonik
In this large exhibition in Museum Boijmans van Beuningen oil sketches by Rubens were shown. Contrary to most of his paintings, these sketches were all made by the master himself, giving a unique insight in the creative process.
By increasing the contrast of the sketches, adding some shadow and placing the typical Rubens-figures between the typical Boijmans-typography, more depth was added to Rubens’ sketches to make them work for this campaign.
As I was just in the process of leaving my position at thonik, I created a toolbox with examples and elements that could be used to complete the campaign. These examples are shown here.
