The airport of Naples, Italy, is transitioning from the traditional static wayfinding to dynamic messaging, in order to give passengers better and tailor-made information throughout the processes. At Mijksenaar, I was asked to make the graphic layer for these new screens. For the design, the visually challenging environment they are to live in, to improve legibility and to design for very specific screen sizes had to be taken into account. Some screens can also cycle between up to three different messages, which also has to be clear to the passengers passing by.
